Adobe Summit
I was brought on to assist the Adobe design team with UX and bring the 2025 Adobe Summit Site to life.
Project Overview
As the Senior UX Designer, I was brought on to consult with the team regarding UX best practices and help with content strategy and wireframing. The primary goal of the project was to redesign the Adobe Summit website in preparation for its launch. The project aimed to enhance user experience and create a more intuitive and visually appealing site.
Team and Collaboration
I worked directly with project managers, designers, copywriters, and stakeholders, maintaining strong communication throughout the entire project. This collaboration ensured that all team members were aligned and able to contribute effectively to the project's success.
Key Achievements
One of the key achievements was the redesigned layout of the pricing page. The previous year's pricing page required users to manually find and enter discount codes. The new design allowed users to click on their discount type (e.g., "Non-profit"), which would automatically apply the discount code and take them to the registration form. This significant improvement enhanced the user experience and streamlined the registration process. The final handoff exceeded stakeholder expectations from both a user experience and design standpoint.
Design Process
We began with a thorough research and discovery phase, evaluating the 2024 Summit and 2025 Adobe Max conference designs for usability and areas of improvement. Armed with a document outlining required sections and stakeholder feedback from previous years, I focused on creating wireframes that emphasized content strategy, overall layout, and improved user experience. Although the site was not put through external user testing, the internal feedback from stakeholders played a crucial role in refining our designs.
Final Outcome
The final design not only met but exceeded expectations, showcasing a beautiful, accessible, and user-centered website. To ensure a seamless transition to the development phase, I created a detailed handoff for the development team. This handoff highlighted accessibility "bluelines" and spacing tokens, ensuring that the design intent was preserved and implemented accurately. The team's first experience working with a UX designer highlighted the benefits of the wireframing stage, allowing us to prioritize user needs and create a functional yet aesthetically pleasing design.
Personal Insights
This project underscored the importance of top-tier teamwork. With a tight schedule, the team prioritized and worked together to focus on the MVP, ensuring that we stayed on task and delivered the best possible product without compromising the timeline. This experience has reinforced my belief in the value of collaboration and prioritization in delivering successful UX projects.
